FAQ

Where are you located? We are based on Long Island in New York.

Where do you ship? We ship anywhere in the United States and to Canada. 

 

Are the pictures edible?  Yes, you can eat your face!

Can you print logos? Yes, we make your logo taste good!

​

Do you use sugar paper or rice paper? No, we never use any kind of paper, that's why they look and taste better. Our chocolates have a delectable white icing which provides the smooth surface for us to print on. 

​

Do you make the chocolate? No, we don't even make dinner! Our supplier makes the chocolate and adds the icing by hand, then we do the printing.

Can I see a proof? Yes, within one week after your order is placed we will email you a proof for approval before we print your order. Most people love it the first time, but we'll make any changes until you're 100% happy.

Are there set-up fees? No set-up fees, we provide our design services complementary.

​

How long does it take? A proof will be emailed for your approval within one week after your order is placed. Your order will be shipped approximately six weeks after your approval. Let us know if you need it sooner.

Do I have to design the layout? No, simply send us the picture(s), logo, text that you'd like, we'll design it.

​

What if I don't have a design? No worries, give us a call. We'll ask questions then make suggestions.

What are the photo requirements? As high resolution as possible. Minimum 300 dpi or equivalent would be great but not required. The higher the resolution, the better it will come out. When you're looking for a picture, note that usually we'll generally only include the head, so a close-up would be great. Feel free to send a few pictures, then we'll decide what's best. Email pictures to cindy@chocolatepromises.com. Please send each picture in a separate email so that the quality is not diminished. If it asks which resolution, choose actual size (or the largest file size)

What flavors are available? Most of our products are available in milk chocolate and dark chocolate.

Is the chocolate sustainably sourced? Yes! Farmers receive fair prices and training to improve their business while supporting the environment.

Where is the chocolate designed and printed? in New York, USA​

How do you print on the chocolate? With a chocolate printer that uses FDA approved colorings.

What is your return policy? Since our products are all custom made for you, they are not returnable. Once the order is placed it cannot be cancelled. However, if the chocolates haven't been printed we'll be happy to change the design at no additional charge.

Can you ship to warm weather areas? Yes, we generally use gel packs and foil to ship if the shipping address is 70 degrees or warmer. In very warm areas we will have to ship overnight. We also ship with signature required so the box is not left out in the heat.

Can you ship directly (drop ship) to the recipient? Yes

​

Can you include a note if I'm sending it as a gift? Yes, at a small additional charge.
